چکیده

The potential distribution of invasive rugose spiralling whitefly, Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae) was predicted under present (2020) and future climate change emission scenarios in 2050 2070 four representative concentration pathways (RCP 2.6, RCP 4.5, 6.0, 8.5) using maximum entropy (MaxEnt) niche modelling. model performance assessed area the curve receiver operating characteristic values. Spatial mapping habitat suitability for whitefly maps prepared each selected scenarios. study revealed that most dominant climatic factors i.e annual mean temperature, diurnal range, precipitation seasonality iso-thermality with 23.2, 21.4,17.5 16.4% respectively were significantly influenced establishment whitefly. Eastern coastal parts Tamil Nadu, North-Eastern Andhra Pradesh, belts Odisha, North-Western Kerala, South-Western Karnataka Western Maharashtra Gujarat highest places/ regions. data would help to formulate control measures monitoring, surveillance early pest warning combating outbreaks well advance newer geographical locations.

Determination of Maximum Bayesian Entropy Probability Distribution

In this paper, we consider the determination methods of maximum entropy multivariate distributions with given prior under the constraints, that the marginal distributions or the marginals and covariance matrix are prescribed. Next, some numerical solutions are considered for the cases of unavailable closed form of solutions. Finally, these methods are illustrated via some numerical examples.

Pathogenicity, Ovicidal Action, and Median Lethal Concentrations (LC50) of Entomopathogenic Fungi against Exotic Spiralling Whitefly, Aleurodicus dispersus Russell

Biological control using entomopathogenic fungi could be a promising alternative to chemical control. Entomopathogenic fungi, Beauveria bassiana (Balsamo) Vuillemin, Metarhizium anisopliae (Metschnikoff) Sorokin, Lecanicillium lecanii (Zimmerm.) Zare and Gams, and Paecilomyces fumosoroseus (Wize) Brown and Smith, were tested for their pathogenicity, ovicidal effect, and median lethal concentrat...

A Maximum Entropy Modelling of the Rain Drop Size Distribution

This paper presents a maximum entropy approach to Rain Drop Size Distribution (RDSD) modelling. It is shown that this approach allows (1) to use a physically consistent rationale to select a particular probability density function (pdf) (2) to provide an alternative method for parameter estimation based on expectations of the population instead of sample moments and (3) to develop a progressive...

Species distribution modelling of invasive alien species; Pterois miles for current distribution and future suitable habitats

The present study aims to predict the potential geographic distribution and future expansion of invasive alien lionfish (Pterois miles) with ecological niche modelling along the Mediterranean Sea. The primary data consisted of occurrence points of P. miles in the Mediterranean and marine climatic data layers were collected from global databases. All the used models run 100% su...
